We had a problem with our Solarwinds NPM where the Audit log was not updating, this particular problem started right after the upgrade of the platform on the 16.10.2024 and since then we had no further audit logs showing on the website:
The fix for this problem is actually quite simple, first you need to stop all the Solarwinds Orion services which you can do with the service manager, when loaded use the "Shutdown Everything" option:
That option will stop everything excluding these components, you will need to manually stop these using the stop button:
Once all these services are stopped you then need to from the run box run services.msc like this :
You then need to look for "Message Queuing" service and give that a restart:
This will advise you that you need to restart "Net.Msmq Listener Adapter" which should already be stopped, as Yes to this:
When this service has restarted, which should be a couple of seconds you can then go back the service manager and use the "Start Everything" button
Once everything is running and the site is back online, wait about 10 to 15 minutes and your events and audit logs will begin to flow into the audit log as before:
